Behavior therapy includes a variety of strategies that, when tailored to the child’s specific needs, can support a child with a variety of neurodivergent needs. Behavior therapy is often effective with children with autism, ADHD or other behavioral needs.
Based on the initial assessment we will be able to determine the most appropriate amount of therapy your child will benefit from. Most sessions take place a couple of times per week, weekly or biweekly. However, each child is different and their treatment plan will be based on their individual needs.
A parent or caregiver must be present for all sessions.
Sessions can take place in your home or in the community.
Siblings can be present for sessions. Depending on your child’s needs it may be beneficial for sessions to take place with sibling interaction or in a more quiet and structured setting without sibling interaction.
Data is collected throughout each session to ensure objective progress is being measured. The data will also allow us to make changes to the treatment plan if necessary.
